In depth Pixel Art exploration and experimentation
This project was done in my 2nd year of Visual Communication Design.
We were given freedom to choose which medium we would like to tackle for a year end final project and I chose pixel art.
Concept:
I wanted to go through different techniques, bit depths and canvas sizes started from a measly 8x8 pixels going all the way to 256x256. In today's times we often forget the absurd amount of pixels we have on our tiny phone screens. 4K is easily available on phones now a days and that is a whopping 3840×2160!
This work is a comment how even within the extreme limitations and boundaries of this technical specifications, we can still make out what is what just due to our mind focusing on the Gestalt principles.
